Digital Cable - A service provided by many cable providers, digital cable offers viewers more channels. SECAM - (Sequential Color And Memory standard) - This alternative to NTSC has 625 lines interlaced, 50 fields per second. It is used in the former USSR, France, and parts of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
MPEG-2 - Compression standards for moving images and for audio as set by Motion Pictures Expert Group (MPEG). MPEG-2 video coding is the basis for ATSC digital television transmission in the U.S and Canada.
